Dr. Clark is a specialist in cosmetic dentistry and dental restoration. As a prosthodontist, he is able to offer years of extra study and experience when it comes to patient treatment and care. While general dentists are able to perform some of the services offered at Atlantic Esthetics, prosthodontists are considered the experts in restoring and replacing teeth through a variety of methods including implant restoration, crowns, bridges, veneers, full and partial dentures.
Veneers, Porcelain Crowns/Fillings
Whether the goal is to remove decay and restore a beautiful appearance, or cosmetically enhance a smile, Dr. Clark will make every effort to make sure the teeth he is treating have both a healthy and attractive outcome. Not only are these restorations life-like in beauty, but properly bonded into place, they offer the closest method that today’s dentistry has to offer to achieve the function and look of an untouched tooth.
Full or Partial Dentures
Dentures should never look like dentures. By using individualized tooth forms and choosing shades to ensure esthetics, your dentures will look like a natural smile. Their comfortable fit will give another reason for wanting to show them off.
Dr. Clark works closely with other specialists such as Periodontists and Oral Surgeons that place the dental implants to achieve a strong, attractive outcome. Dr. Clark sees the patient before and after implants are placed, first to devise a full treatment plan, and after to place a top-quality restoration over the implants. Whether it is a single tooth, a large bridge, or over dentures, patients will have the finest in specialist care and attention to achieve a fantastic result.
All on 4 Implant Overdentures
Dr. Clark coordinates with other specialists to offer the All on 4 Overdenture for patients. These dentures attach to four placed implants giving patients the most secure, solid denture available. The denture is removable by the dentist for routine cleanings but remains securely fastened to the implants the rest of the time so that the patient never has to go without teeth.
TMJ / TMD
If jaw or muscle issues are decreasing a patient’s quality of life, Dr. Clark can help by evaluating each case, educating the patient, and putting forth a treatment to address this often complex issue. Each patient is treated as an individual to best alleviate pain and allow a healthier, carefree lifestyle to be pursued again.
This facet of prosthodontics involves a special blend of science and art. Using a method that starts with good communication about what the patient would like their end result to be, Dr. Clark then proceeds with a design, prototype, and finally precise execution of a beautiful smile. Each step is approved by the patient, as every smile is customized to enhance beauty and personality.
Routine Exam and Dental Cleaning
A patient’s first defense in preventing decay and deterioration is a good hygiene regime. This starts at home with brushing twice daily and flossing every day. Along with daily care, it is recommended that patients visit their dentist once every six months for an examination and cleaning, and once a year for x-rays.
During semi-annual check-ups, Dr. Clark will examine and clean each patient’s teeth, taking time to look for and help prevent cavities and tooth wear. If a patient does have decay, these regular visits will help Dr. Clark catch and treat these issues early, helping to potentially avoid more extensive work down the road. For patients who have complex dental work, quarterly cleaning may be recommended. Dr. Clark and our staff will do everything we can to encourage patients and make these visits comfortable and calming for each patient, no matter their dental history.
